Vicky started at Blackfords LLP in September 2014 and qualified as a solicitor in July 2018.
Vicky is a key member of the General Crime team, undertaking a wide variety of work at all stages of the criminal justice system. She regularly appears in both the Magistrates’ and the Youth Court.
Vicky often represents clients charged with road traffic offences, including drink-drive related offences, driving without insurance, driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence, failing to provide a specimen and careless or dangerous driving. She is able to advise on all areas of motoring law, in particular the implications a conviction for such an offence can have on a driving licence.
Vicky appreciates how important it is to clients to retain their driving licence if possible. She has successfully persuaded Courts not to disqualify her clients from driving and even where disqualification is mandatory, she has been able to persuade Courts to reduce the length of the disqualification.
Vicky has experience of representing high net-worth clients and is acutely aware of how criminal proceedings can affect such clients. She is sensitive to their needs and works diligently and efficiently to attain the best outcome for them.
